Can I choose the type of wood when ordering?

Yes, you can. Please refer to this page. 
However, depending on the availability of lumber, there may be some tree species that cannot be accepted, or the delivery date may change. 
Also, please understand that some tree species are unsuitable for certain furniture specifications and uses.

Does the type of wood affect the price?

The price is the same for any tree. 
However, in the case of making with wood, single board, or bookmatching, which we do not usually handle, it will be different.

Can I see wood samples in your workshop?

Yes. Samples of the tree species we handle are available.

Which material should I choose to make the furniture as light as possible?

Among the trees that can be handled, amur cork tree and Japanese walnut are suitable.

Can I order small wooden items?

We do not accept small-lot orders for wooden cutlery, plates, etc.
Depending on the number of orders and what you want, we may be able to accommodate your request, so please feel free to contact us.
You can order frames in any size you like, starting from just one piece.

How long is the delivery time?

With the exception of some items, Umebachi Furniture is made after receiving your order. 
It depends on the product, but please wait about 2 months after you place your order. 
In addition, for small wooden items, you can buy at online shop or exhibition room.

Can I place an order from a distance? Also, how will payment and delivery be handled?

Yes, you can order it. We will contact you by email or phone. We try to deliver directly by our staff as much as possible.But it may be delivered using "家財おまかせ便". In this case, payment will be made in advance by bank transfer.If you live in outside Japan, it will be delivered by EMS (Japan post).The delivery fee or shipping fee will be specified in the quotation.In addition, customs duty and consumption tax may be incurred.

Do you have after-sales service?

The warranty period is one year from the date of delivery of the product. Any failure due to a manufacturing defect that occurs during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge. 
We also offer repainting of table tops for a fee. ￥38,500～

I would like to lower the height of the chairs, can you cut the legs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We will do our best to items purchased from other stores. Please note that we may not be able to accept orders depending on the shape and material. The cut part is chamfered and touched up. In the case of a chair, after cutting, place it on a horizontal table, check that there is no rattling, and then attach the felt. Prices start from ¥4,400 (tax included).
