Wooden pen holder
This pen holder is made from Japanese hardwood.
Depending on the tree species, there are various colors and grains, giving the wood a rich expression.
Please choose the tree species of your choice.
The shape that spreads out towards the top is called a "Shiho-korobi", and requires high precision in its processing.
Although the shape is simple, calculating the angle of the component joints is surprisingly difficult.
A thin plate called a "Sane" is inserted into the joints to increase strength.
The thin plates are made from dark-colored wood species, which also serves as an accent.
